PCB Assembly

PCB Assembly Order: SMD & THT Assembly Service

Component assembly onto your printed circuit boards by SMT and THT. Fast, repeatable assembly for prototype, low volume and series production.

Automated component placement onto an electronic board on the SMT line

PCB assembly is the placement and soldering of electronic components onto a printed circuit board using surface-mount (SMD) and through-hole (THT) methods. In Istanbul, SMT Labs runs an automated line from 0201 packages to BGA/µBGA, single and double sided, and passes every board through AOI and test against IPC-A-610 Class 2/3.

SMD assembly (surface mount)

In SMD assembly, components are placed by high-speed pick & place machines onto a stencil-pasted board and soldered in a reflow oven. We cover a wide range, from small packages such as 0201 and 01005 to fine-pitch parts such as QFN, QFP and BGA/µBGA.

Post-print SPI, post-placement AOI and, where needed, X-ray inspection of solder under BGAs are applied. On double-sided boards both faces are completed in one flow.

THT assembly (through hole)

Through-hole assembly for connectors, relays, power parts and mechanically loaded components, supported by selective soldering and hand-solder stations. SMD and THT are combined on the same board in a single order.

Shipping across Turkey

Production takes place at the facility in Maslak, Istanbul; boards are packed and shipped anywhere in Turkey with the courier you choose. Sample and series deliveries are managed from one address.

Our assembly line, station by station

Your PCB assembly order passes through five stations on the automated SMT/THT line in Maslak, Istanbul. Every station is measured and logged.

  1. 1. PCB Loader
  2. 2. Solder Paste Printer
  3. 3. Pick & Place
  4. 4. Reflow Oven
  5. 5. AOI & Test

Loader → solder paste print and SPI → high-speed pick & place → multi-zone reflow → AOI and test. The full machine list and technical drawings are on a separate page.

How to place an assembly order

  1. 01Send your filesUpload your Gerber, LCSC-compatible BOM and Pick & Place files. No files yet? A photo of the existing board and the quantity is enough to start.
  2. 02Quote in 24 hoursOur engineering team reviews the files, notes any DFM issues and sends price and lead time within one business day.
  3. 03Approval and sourcingYou approve the quote; PCB, stencil and component sourcing begins. For parts that are out of stock we propose an approved alternative.
  4. 04Production and shippingAssembly, AOI and testing are completed; boards are packed and shipped from our Istanbul central warehouse across Turkey.

PCB assembly FAQ

How is the PCB assembly price determined?
The assembly price depends on board quantity, component count and type (SMD/THT, fine pitch, BGA), single or double sided, stencil need and lead time. There is no fixed list; once you send your Gerber, BOM and Pick & Place files we return an exact price and lead time within 24 hours.
Can I order a single board or a prototype assembly?
Yes. We assemble anything from a single prototype to high-volume series production. The target lead time for sample boards is about 10 business days.
Do I supply the components or do you source them?
Either works. You can consign the components, or hand us your BOM and let us source original parts from three continents. A mixed model (critical parts from you, the rest from us) is also common.
Which files are needed for assembly?
Gerber (for board fabrication and stencil), an LCSC-compatible BOM (component list) and a Pick & Place (coordinate) file. If files are missing we derive what we can from the existing board and report back with DFM notes.
Can you inspect BGA and fine-pitch solder joints?
Yes. Post-assembly AOI is standard; X-ray inspection for connections under BGA/µBGA, plus ICT and functional test options for electrical verification.
