Original electronic component supply against your BOM, including alternative parts and out-of-stock item management.
Electronic component sourcing is the procurement of every part needed for production from original sources according to the BOM. With a supply network across three continents, SMT Labs finds the parts, proposes approved alternatives for out-of-stock items and takes on the import and customs process itself.
From BOM to supply
You send your LCSC-compatible BOM; each line is priced by part number (MPN) and quantity. Stock, lead time and price come back in a single table.
Alternative parts and out-of-stock items
If a part is out of stock or its lead time delays the project, we propose an electrically and mechanically equivalent approved alternative. You make the call; no unapproved change is made.
Authenticity and customs
Parts are bought from authorised distributors and trusted sources. Import, customs clearance and paperwork run on the SMT Labs side; you carry no customs burden.

How component sourcing starts
- 01Send your filesUpload your Gerber, LCSC-compatible BOM and Pick & Place files. No files yet? A photo of the existing board and the quantity is enough to start.
- 02Quote in 24 hoursOur engineering team reviews the files, notes any DFM issues and sends price and lead time within one business day.
- 03Approval and sourcingYou approve the quote; PCB, stencil and component sourcing begins. For parts that are out of stock we propose an approved alternative.
- 04Production and shippingAssembly, AOI and testing are completed; boards are packed and shipped from our Istanbul central warehouse across Turkey.
Component sourcing FAQ
- Can I take only component sourcing and assemble elsewhere?
- Yes. We can source the components and deliver them to you. But when you combine sourcing + assembly, the risk of missing parts, wrong packaging and moisture/ESD handling is managed in one place.
- What happens if the BOM has an out-of-stock part?
- We propose an approved alternative MPN and report the impact (price, lead time, footprint). If you do not approve the alternative, we keep the process open until the original part is found.
- How do you guarantee the parts are original?
- Sourcing is done from authorised distributors and verified sources; source and batch information is shared on request.
- Do I pay customs and import costs?
- Import and customs run on the SMT Labs side. The quote states part price, freight and related costs transparently.
